1. Scope
OriginDrive lets users store and share files. We do not review files before they are uploaded or shared, but we act on reports of illegal content and copyright infringement. This page explains how to report content and what happens next. It supplements our Acceptable Use Policy.
2. How to report illegal content
Email [email protected] with the subject "Content report" and include:
the full link (URL) to the shared file or folder;
why you believe the content is illegal or breaks our Acceptable Use Policy;
your name and email address, so we can follow up (you may report child sexual abuse material anonymously).
Do not attach or forward the illegal files themselves. Reports of child sexual abuse material are handled with priority and may be reported to the competent authorities.
3. Copyright infringement notices
If you are a rights holder, or authorized to act for one, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" containing:
identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
the full link (URL) to each file or folder you want removed;
your name, address, telephone number and email address;
a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on its behalf;
your physical or electronic signature.
4. What we do
We review each complete report, usually within 2 business days. Where a report is valid, we disable the shared link or remove the content, and we inform the user who shared it where the law allows. We may ask for more information if a report is incomplete. We do not remove content automatically just because a report was received.
5. Counter-notice and appeal
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to share it, reply to our notification or email [email protected]with the affected link and your explanation. We will review it and, where appropriate, restore the content.
6. Repeat infringers
We may suspend or close the accounts of users who repeatedly share infringing or illegal content.
